How would you like to be attended to at every whim, being pampered and chauffeured to the best diving spots on the planet as well as being fed like a king or queen, for a week? This is not a dream, this is what happens when you take an excursion on a live-aboard. Your day is filled with one dive after another, snacks between dives, viewing photos of your last dive, lounging in the sun and maybe a kayak trip for a change of pace, and end each day with a gourmet meal.
I have personally spent a week on the Aqua Cat Cruise in the Bahamas. A trip I will never forget and one day I plan to experience it again.
The food was amazing with a variety that would please anyone and so much of it, I had to readjust my B.C. I made three dives a day for six days, nitrox was available and a crew of knowledgeable and helpful people who became good friends. Although there were fourteen of us, the boat never felt crowded and relaxing between dives was done on the top deck with comfy lounge chairs.
The captain often dove with us taking photos of us all and individually which were all offered to us at the end of the week. We had a shark dive, a night dive or two and an afternoon where we were dropped off on a white sand beach to see hundreds of iguanas basking in the sun.
The week went by way to fast and I was not eager to go home. The Aqua Cat docked near Atlantis in the Bahamas so my last day was spent seeing the sites there. All in all, a fantastic trip and worth every penny.
